'Practice makes Perfect' and so there are mistakes to make, obstacles to overcome and information to gather before we take on the big walk from 13-28 November 2010.
On 20th March 2010 Paul and Joy started out at 6.00 am with Paul walking from Kalamunda, W.A. The plan was that Paul will walk 57 km to the top of Mt. Dale and finishes at 6.30 pm. Joy returned in the evening and waited alone in her red ACTS 18 car and by the time it was pitch dark, she wondered whether Paul will ever appear. At this point Joy was the only support person and she was going to drive to all the camping spots and set up camp sites.
Much to Joy's relief, Paul finally emerged from the track at 8.30 pm with lots of pain in his legs and back. After some refresments, we headed back home and that was enough of challenge and perspiration for the day. The next day, Paul went to work with lots to talk about and pain to cope with!
